Ventilaar on DN42

AS4242422246 = IPv6 only!

For more information send me an email to dn42 (at) ventilaar.nl

This page is still under construction (just like the network). Open for peering!

You may send me an email or fill in this form to request peering. I'm happy to help you out.

Nodes in the network

Nodes are servers which route both in the DN42 network and provide services in and out of it.

ams01.dn42.ventilaar.net

This is a 100 mbit/s server hosted in Amsterdam. It acts as a link between my home and the rest of the network. The looking glass and authorative DNS services are here.

  • Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  • Router software: Bird2
  • Provider: Melbicom
  • Peering available: Yes
  • Clearnet connectivity: IPv4 / IPv6

PoPs in the network

These are locations to access my network only and they provide no other services. The only purpose is to have geographically close locations for peering.

atl04.dn42.ventilaar.net

This is a 100 mbit/s guaranteed server hosted in Atlanta. This is for the people along the American latitude.

  • Location: Atlanta, United States
  • Router software: Bird2
  • Provider: Melbicom
  • Peering available: Yes
  • Clearnet connectivity: IPv4 / IPv6
sin05.dn42.ventilaar.net

Network diagram

Below is the expected networking diagram as connected with Wireguard tunnels.

Peering policy

I am open for peering, however there are some (basic) rules.

  • 1. My DN42 network is IPv6 only. As such your DN42 network MUST support IPv6, your network MAY support IPv4, but it won't be used.
  • 2. If you do not have a static IP or can not open ports on the clearnet side you MUST set the Persistent Keepalive option of Wireguard at 25 seconds.
  • 3. The latency of the peering session SHOULD be less than 50ms. This is so both networks stay in a healthy and performant state.
  • 4. The network interconnection MUST NOT be used for bad. Do not DDoS other networks, do not spam and such. Be nice!
